「Lovely character hotel in very peaceful surroundings. The staff were just lovely , friendly and chatty . Our room was in a good location and it was easy to get to the restaurant , bar and spa . The room was a good size and the towels were nice and soft, the hot water plentiful too. The only slight dent in the room was the condition of some of the fixtures and fittings . The carpet had quite a few stains on it , the shower settings were missing parts and the towel radiator missing coatings ....

The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. 「The Dock was fabulous and exactly what I was hoping to achieve for a 1 night stay between my work days. I was gutted as I’d heard so much about the breakfast but I ended up being in such a rush so didn’t have time to have a full English but the lush lady behind the kitchen counter asked me if I wanted a sandwich making to take away. She made me a huge and the best tasting bacon sarnie with a latte to take away (proper fresh brewed coffee) she saved my bacon literally haha. As I didn’t eat again...
