「We loved our stay here. After a horrible nine hour journey we were pretty miserable when we arrived. However, when we saw the cottage we were delighted! The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. It’s well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfy too. We were delighted to see the goats out the front the next morning and raced out to chat to them 😀 The owners are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. If we can face the journey again we will be back and for longer! 」

「Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh.」

「This property is wonderful for a quiet getaway, it’s beautifully decorated with lots of interesting things to discover and the kitchen is so well equipped, we could have easily hosted a 12 person dinner party! You definitely need a vehicle and there is no shop or pub in the village. We really liked the lack of a TV it was a plus. 「Rachael’s Rest truly is a home away from home. It is relaxing, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need for a break.
