"The room's air did not work. It was 82 degrees in the room. The staff stated someone would fix it, but that did not happen. The staff were nice, but no more rooms with 2 beds available. There is a $45 per night extra charge that was not noted when I prepaid for the room and did not find out until checkout. Building is under some construction, so it is a work in progress not known when this hotel was booked."

"We use to stay at The Warwick every time we came to NYC. This will probably be our last time to stay there. Although it is a wonderful location, the hotel itself seems to be declining. On this trip, they were doing major work outside our windows. We had an interior room with two windows that were both covered with scaffolding. Everyday at 9am the "banging and hammering" started and did not end until 4pm. And, yes, we did ask to be moved but were told that the hotel was sold out. I feel like this should have been stated somewhere when booking this hotel, and I certainly feel like they need to make concessions while this is going on. This room was just as expensive as nearby hotels, and they charged a $30 daily use fee which definitely should be waived or reduced while this work is being done. I could not open my curtains for 4 days while I was there because I wasn't sure if someone was going to be standing outside my window. Also, the mattress in our room was so "worn" that I had trouble sleeping. We had a king size bed but the sides had divers where it was just plain worn down. Randolf's is open for drinks, but the restaurant next door is gone. I am saddened by this all because I used to absolutely love this hotel. Hope this helps!"
