"Very clean place, comfortable beds, very warm pool wish they had a hot tub but made up for it with a warm pool and had there pool towels stocked up most of the time I go to a hotel with a pool they never have there towels stocked. Id definitely stay here again, staff were super friendly and helpful ! Was noisey with interstate and hotel rooms which im sorry cause I know my daughter was extremely tired and was crying when I had to step out of my room to get something out if my car and she want her mom and not dad and I could hear her 3 doors down by the elevator. And very great breakfast !"

"We were traveling from California to Michigan and made an overnight stop in Council Bluffs. Since we were traveling with pets, we needed a pet-friendly hotel and chose the American Inn after reading many positive online reviews. The staff was very kind and friendly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the condition of our room was disappointing. The moment we walked in, there was a strong odor that smelled like mold. The wall AC unit appeared to have a newer front cover, but the inside was visibly dirty with dust, grime, and what looked like mold buildup. We chose to leave it off and open the windows instead. The beds appeared clean, thankfully, but the bathroom had splatter marks on the walls, heavy dust around the exhaust vent, and visible mold growth on one of the interior doors. After two long days of driving with two dogs, we were too exhausted to search for another hotel, otherwise we likely would have left. To be fair, this was a last-minute trip during what appeared to be graduation weekend, so finding pet-friendly accommodations was difficult. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I do think travelers should know what to realistically expect. The staff was pleasant, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the room need significant attention."

"We had two young girls, age 20, traveling cross country for work. We didn't see the "21+" check in requirement when booking. After La Quinta in Jonesboro, Arkansas the night before refused to check them in, risking their safety at night, Countryside Inn desk staff were beyond pleasant and understanding. We spoke to them and they made a common sense exception with no problem. A+++ May 16 check in...wish we had the lady's name. Her understanding means we will definitely stay here again."

"We had to be moved from our first room due to no AC and very dirty room. The second was some better, but not good AC. The staff tried to help, but not very successfully. Breakfast was very minimal. Our room had no towels and no shower curtain. They did bring towels upon request. The pool had not been maintained and was unusable. Very poor experience."

"Payment was pet friendly so I appreciated that but the room was not clean as there was dirt on the floor, it didn't look like they ever cleaned under the bed, the air conditioner was broke so we roasted over night. I went to tell the guy at the front desk about the air conditioner, his response to me was "well turn it off and then turn it back on" said "I tried that" but really I shouldn't have to do that so we checked out early because I'm not going to roast a second night. The guy at the front counter could have switched rooms for us or offer a refund but neither was done. This motel was Nasty, dirty, stinky, and the air conditioner dosent work, staff is rude and also they want to add a pet fee per night but there is no area for your pet to do their business."

"Clean property and plenty of space to hang out. There are some things that could use a little attention like clogged water spouts, but that’s typical of the area having hard water. The beds were soft and there were fixtures available to place our bags on to easily access our stuff instead of just setting things on the floor. It was quick and easy to get to the highway and therefore anywhere in council bluffs or downtown Omaha or the zoo!"
