"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. The dinning experience over dinner and breakfast was terrible - worst service I’ve seen for a while and average food (it’s quite expensive considering its surroundings). Stay...

"This was misleading advertising on Hotels.com. I selected a tent with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed for about R1700. Just before we arrived I got a call from the hosts and let them know that 2 friends would arrive 30 minutes before us. I was told that I would have to pay an additional R790 for them because they charge extra each person over 2. This was not made clear on the app. This accommodation was not worth over R2,500 for the night. Unhappy guests who feel ripped off."

"In general the hotel is very run down. Things falling apart and dysfunctional, including pool area and umbrellas and gardens. The resort is in desperate need of serious maintenance. Also, no wi fi in rooms for a 4 star hotel is not really acceptable. Poor conditions somewhat compensated for by the first class and much appreciated service from Petrus and some of his staff -especially chef and Thabisa."

From the first contact we had at the reception with the friendly and helpful staff, to the impeccably neat and modern room, we absolutely LOVED our night here! "What a wonderful place this is.We had an apartment 206.Fully equipped with everything we needed.A beautiful view .Lovely views around the bar near the swimming pool.The staff here were excellent,nothing was too much trouble,The restaurant food is excellent and very resonably priced.SISSY IN THE RESTAURANT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND,what a wonder lady she is. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area"

"Can highly recommend this hotel. The whole town was without power for days after the storms and fortunately this hotel had a generator. It was worth paying a little extra for the honeymoon suite to have a bath, balcony with great views and extra space. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant “Adi’s Kitchen “ each day. There was a terrific variety of food to select from- all great quality and value. Service at the hotel was great. Anthea at reception was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable"

"Nice room and comfy bed. A basic breakfast of bits in the fridge. Could have done with some bread, but it’s a small gripe, very quiet and fantastic views over the lagoon. Nice pool but rather brutal with a bare concrete finish. Very comfy sunbeds and brilliant views. About 1 km drive up a dirt path so plan on your food and drink provisions before arriving. "
