「I liked this hotel. It is quirky - an old haveli, rooms are all interesting and the landing areas between them have seating / meeting areas - cool and pleasant spaces. The room towels are a non-original shade of grey. Not dirty at all but not new I suppose. The dining area has a clear view of the lake and above it is more seating again with glorious views. The breakfast is comprehensive - some lovely pancakes - and the service there is excellent. 」

「Location is fabulous right on lake. The entire staff was wonderful. Warm, friendly, helpful. Restaurant was good. We had a balcony over looking the lake. The room was large with many small touches. Huge shower. Windows that opened to lake with built in benches to just enjoy. We could have stayed there all day. We will be back!」

「The Hotel Mahendra Prakash is awesome place to stay in Udaipur at affordable cost. The rooms are spacious and gives you haveli like atmosphere. It is located at a prime area, major tourist spots are at walkable distance. Frintdesk, Housekeeping and restaurant staff is efficient and polite. Swimming pool is clean. Good is nice. 「The service was not exceptional here. The staff took care of minute details. The rooms were clean and renovated. The only drawback was that there was no power backup here in case of loss if electricity which can happen sometimes otherwise everything was fantastic and the service compensated for that.」

「Tucked just off old Main Street not easy to find and harder to stop taxi or Tuk Tuk near. Close to the main attractions. Set over 4 floors plus roof with views of old city, note no lift. Has some old character. Rooms a good size with bathroom attached are comfortable but a bit tired. WiFi only on ground floor and it’s not great. Can be noisy at night but it’s from nearby bars and Unfortunately you will hear everywhere in old town at night. Overall a good stay.」

「We stayed at the hotel for one night and checked in late, just after 7pm, so our time at the hotel was short, but we were impressed by the atmosphere of the hotel and the hospitality of the staff. 「素敵なお部屋 シャワー室とバスタブがあります。スタンダードな部屋を選びましたが、割と広かったです。歩ける距離にパレスがあります。観光にも便利です。車で行ったのですが、道が狭く大変な思いをしました。自家用車で行くことは、おすすめしません。オートリキシャでも行くのは大変です。」

「The location of this hotel is amazing. All the touristy spots are within walking range. The hotel has beautiful view of Pichola lake. The breakfast on the rooftop was cherry on the cake. 「ホテルそのものが芸術的で美しかったです。マハラジャのお医者さんが住んでいた建物をホテルにしたとのことでした。 スタッフもとても親切でフレンドリー、かつプロフェッショナルな対応をしていただきました。 窓がない部屋だったので全体的に暗めで、換気扇が効かないため、シャワーを使った後の湿気が部屋中に広がり対処に苦慮しました。 窓があるお部屋は明るくて素敵でした。」

    Jagdish Temple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace. This three-storied temple is a wonder of architecture that comprises beautifully carved pillars, decorated ceilings, painted walls and lush halls. In those times, 1.5 million rupees were spent to raise this structure. The spire of the main temple is around 79 feet high that undoubtedly dominates the skyline of Udaipur. This shikhar (spire) is festooned with sculptures of dancers, elephants, horsemen and musicians making it truly a sight to behold. As and when you approach the temple, you will be welcomed by two huge stone elephants at the entrance. On the very front of the temple, you would find a stone slab that is imprinted with the inscriptions with reference to Maharaja Jagat Singh. To reach the main shrine, you have to take a marble flight of 32 steps. Here, you will find a brass image of Garuda, a figure of half-man and half-eagle. This huge idol stands as if; it is guarding the doorway of Lord Vishnu.
