"I actually liked this hotel a lot. It had a damp/mildew smell in some areas but I’m sure that’s to be expected being across from the ocean! It was a great place and location for the price!"

"We have been coming to the Galvez for years and the service at the pool was horrible. Nobody cleaned up the trash or put away the clean towels. They used to wait in you wherever you were sitting. What happened to great service??"

"We stayed for one night before a cruise and it was great. The property is clean and well kept. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. The only thing was the parking was a little tight getting in and out of the lot, but we managed. It was a block from the sea wall so we took a walk after breakfast. It’s also a straight shot from the hotel to the port. I would definitely stay here again if we cruise out of Galveston again or just visit Galveston in general."

"We went to the beach, but stayed here for the price found in Expedia. We stayed for 2 nights. The 2 night we had a person stayed in the room and we went to the bar wen we came back at 2-3am the person had locked the door from inside and was ASLEEP to the point where he was out of this world. Any way, maintenance came over and with in 30 min we were in ✌. Place is clean and would go back"
