"I took my wife fishing with me.... it was not a total loss, she liked the cabin, she loved the town, she didn't like watching me fish.... She said the cabin was cute and clean, was warm/cool enough, had plenty of hot water, and the beds were ok. I would stay there again, but the next time I go, I will definitely bring a seafood boiler and boil my own shrimp and crabs. The host was quick to text when the room was ready and when we left. "

"We had the fire alarm go off 3 times in the night for no reason. Hotel quality is dated and worn out. Missed matched flooring carpeting still seen under furniture. Ceilings peeling, paint peeling, no bathroom fans which causes the rooms to get wet. Visible rust on all metal services. No amenities, low quality breakfast ( bag of food). "

"The room was clean, the only issue was that the floors (carpet) felt really grimy and almost damp but not in a “clean” way. The other room issue itself was that there were no extra linens for the pull out couch- which we needed and I had requested on my booking since I had 2 kids with me. Our biggest issues were with the hotel itself: We stayed on the second floor in room 210, we weren’t very close to the elevator but also not too far and we could hear the VERY loud dinging all night long. Another major problem, we stayed on the same floor as the Mississippi valley marching band (they were in town for Mardi Gras Parades) and all night long they were popping their heads out from their doors along the whole hallway to yell back and forth to each other. I confirmed this because I stepped out to see what the yelling was several times. They also used the elevator at all hours to travel to different friends on different floors, contributing to the excessive loud dinging of the elevator. The WORST part about the above, is that at 1-5am every night, the whole floor smelled of weed. I had 2 kids and an infant in my room and it was overtaking our room in a serious way. I had to roll towels and put them on the doorway to keep it from seeping in. We should not have paid to stay here and never will again. My 12 and 10y old asked me several times what that smell was… it was straight up weed. Unacceptable. "
