"The hotel was very clean, spacious, and the staff very kind and polite. For people travelling, the staff speaks english very well, so check in and out is easy. As a guest, you are given a complimentary drink/food item every day, from a pre set menu; there is alcohol on this menu for those that are wondering. There is also a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant right next to the concierge. It is a traditional style breakfast, that includes Miso soup, natto, rice, tamago, salad, pork sausage, and fish. Drinks are refillable. Overall great place to stay. Toyooka is a small but peaceful city, so the train is within walking distance, as is everything else."

"Very nice Ryokan in Kinosaki. We opted for the "Kaiseki" food option which was part of the room rate. What we got for 4 meals (2 dinners/2 breakfasts) was unbelievable!!! Delicious and fresh. Onsen was great, hardly anyone in it during our stay. Staff was very attentive and ofcourse polite. Top notcn"

"Beautiful view over the bay. Lovely lounge open from 9-11 with free snacks and drinks. Fridge and kettle in room. Drying rack for clothes. Sitting area. Hotel is nice in lobby but rooms are quite dated. "

"I absolutely loved this ryokan. The pictures online do not do it justice; the property is even better in person. The staff were very welcoming. The meals were amazing. The property was bigger than I thought it would be. The setting was peaceful. It was exactly what I was looking for. My only recommendation is that the shuttle from the train station should have a sign with the name of the property. "

"This was our first stay at a rhyokan (spelling!)and we were blown away by the beauty, The comfort (personally I felt sleeping on tatami mats on a futon perfect). The attentive service was welcoming and spot on. We ate breakfast and dinner here and the local food was abundant, gorgeously presented and flavorful. We had a room with a private Onsen on a deck. Highly recommend. This was a unique, peak experience and I am a seasoned traveler. Do it. "
