"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. "Absolutely beautiful house, plenty of space with a beautiful garden and large kitchen. I loved the smell of the aged wood, very cozy and even has an air conditioner. The owners are very nice, they speak good English and make you feel welcomed. They have two adorable and friendly cats that will come visit you. I highly suggest this house, you won’t be disappointed. "

"Eher für ältere Reisende oder Familien ausgelegt. Der Onsen/Wellnessbereich war sehr schön. Der Wasserpark hatte geschlossen. Dieser Öffnet nur im Sommer. Davon wussten wir nichts und im Internet war das auch nicht direkt ersichtlich. Die Lage ist unvorteilhaft, wenn man kein Auto hat."
