"Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with great views of the city. The location is extremely convenient, being close to Shizuoka Station and making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Shizuoka. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay. The hotel and room was perfect. Spacious and clean. I love that the housekeepers left a bag a fresh towels and amenities at the door even when we had a do not disturb sign. The location was perfect. Plenty of dining and shopping near by and train station just outside the hotel door. Would choose to stay here again next time I’m in Osaka."

"Good condition property, free onsite parking, superb helpful and welcoming staff, very good amenities, very fast internet, average sized room to Japanese standard, sumptuous breakfast, enough varieties for Vegans and Vegetarians, but limited enough just to fill up. Value for money hotel. Just that some of the Breakfast Buffet food is only labelled in Japanese, thus need enquiry from staff about content and ingredients."

Shizuoka Town Hotel

"I recently stayed at Shizuoka Town Hotel for about a week in July-August 2026. Though I was satisfied with my stay, there were some minor drawbacks that affected my experience. The reception and housekeeping staff team were generally professional and welcoming, and kept my room, the lobby, and the breakfast area in a clean, uncluttered state. The signage and instructions on check-in/check-out and amenities were also easy to understand. The provided daily breakfast is basic, but works well for the price. The location has ready access to JR Shizuoka and Shin-Shizuoka station via a nearby underground walkway, which I appreciated. It is also close to the historic Sumpu Castle, which is an important local landmark for sightseeing. However, the nightlife-heavy neighbourhood is a downside for me, which I should have looked up on Street View before deciding to book. For those like me who are not interested in nightlife, there are other comparable hotels closer to JR Shizuoka or Shin-Shinzuoka station that may be a better fit. Overally, this is a decent hotel for the price. I would recommend it for a budget solo traveller considering a stay in central Shizuoka with easy access to JR and local rail transport."
