"The condo is in excellent condition. There was soap, shampoo, paper and towels. Excellent hosts Eve and Ruben. "

"Beautiful B&B away from city center and the major drawbacks are the massive potholes in the streets and the limited walkable eating places. The furnishings and kitchenette were excellent and if you want a quiet place away from the touristy areas, this is the place. The staff was very friendly and were able to call for taxis as needed"

"There was no restaurant on site, however there were restaurants near by. There was a supermarket very close by. The pavement is not suitable for wheelchair. Room was great just for a couple. Transport to Tulum airport was good."

"Hidden gem! It’s like a small community offering like 35 specious one bed apartments with an outdoor tub in each unit and an infinity pool and grills on the rooftop. Very calm and chill, perfect for long stay as well; you park outside of the property on the street if you don’t mind."

The space was comfortable, the decor was and we enjoyed that the kids could snorkel from the house, and just the proximity to the beach can't be beat. We had some problems with the Chef service so I would caution you not to use Chef Carlos' services. "

"The stay was amazing. The only thing is just the exterior at night it’s pretty dark, but nonetheless it’s very quiet and peaceful. It’s very relaxing to stay there the communication it’s good with the host. Overall a good experience except for the cabs they can be pretty hostile if you get your own cab like (Eiby or Indrive) but the Taxis in Tulum are very aggressive and they just want to take the most money they can. I would just say be careful on that part. "

"Personally this was our first time staying at an All Inclusive resort and we couldn’t be more happier with our stay. Everything was wonderful! The dining options, the staff, the endless amounts of activities as well as entertainment options made our stay that much more memorable. With only a few minutes walk to a private beach and ability to swim in the ocean all day long, as well as numerous pools in the resort and the option to reserve a room with its only private pool, Secrets Akumal has indeed set a high bar when it comes to All Inclusive resorts and we will definitely be going back. We had an amazing time and enjoyed all of the services. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to enjoy a week of vacation without the stress of having to arrange all the things that comes with planning for a vacation. Great service and a beautiful location!"

"My family stayed at this hotel in August, and we loved it! This is a brand new hotel that just opened this year. While everything is brand new, they are still working to finalize the hotel (finish one section of it and fully stock up the rooms with kitchen supplies, such as plates, cups, utensils etc.). This, I'm sure will happen shortly. The room was great, with one king bed in one room and a sofa bed in the living room. We even had our tiny private pool, which we did not end utilizing as their public pool is stunning. The hotel is located in a newly-developed part of town, so it's away from busy streets and noise. Nonetheless, it's a short drive to all the beautiful attractions and tourist zones around Tulum. The staff was very accommodating and nice, and we felt they really cared that we enjoy our stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay in it again in the future!"

"I like having an ocean view, being to have a private beach and walkable to town. The only negative is a staff whose name is Amparo was very rude and ignored us. She even looked at us and started talking to another staff person. She wouldn't take our order in the snack bar and if she did, she never gave it to us. I had to ask another staff for our order, and he got it, and it was cold. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got the cold shoulder from her. The fact is we didn't even do anything to her for her to treat us that way. Please let management know about tis staff. "
