We got to the place on friday night and there was tons of dust and bugs. Stains on the sheets. In my opinion someone hadn't stayed there in a few weeks and it wasn't cleaned. We reached out to the property manager with pictures and he didn't answer for 36 hours. We finally got him to answer after we sat on hold for 30 minutes with VRBO.
The locks are also faulty and we locked ourselves out. Our fault, but I couldn't get it so I had my husband do it and he thought I had the key. A gentleman came at 600pm and said we owed $50 cash. We didn't have cash and he called us at 800am telling us to make sure we bring cash to the office.
Still hadn't heard from our property manager so called VRBO support. Finally got him to call me. Offered to leave if manager gave me refund for the last 3 days and he just NEVER RESPONDED.
Unprofessional and just wants your money. The rest of our stay was fine, but it ruined our family vacation. A little compassion and an attempt to make it right goes a long way and Tom did not care about us. You might be managing remotely, but you have a phone. They did come and clean the dust after, but in no way for a $300+ a night place should it have been left in that condition.
Normally wouldn't complain about this but bed was stiff, dishwasher you can't even push the buttons on, cabinets have random marks all over them. If you have young kids it's nice they have a crosswalk to get to beach. some cars do go fast.
