The stay was just like what was described and pictures. Very clean, modern and had a heat pump that was adjusted just right especially during this winter time. The bonus was having a private spa pool and hot pool, it was perfect time to relax after a tiring day doing the Tongariro Crossing. The procedure to this self check-in suite was easy and instructions were clear. One minor down side is the mirror in the bathroom was rather large and protruded too much, which was a little challenging to wash my face with. I would definitely come back again!

The Expedia description of property's facilities is confusing and needs to be re-written. There is no kitchen and there is no fitness centre and no full service spa, only a spa pool/jacuzzi. There is a shared fridge in a communal area, but no kitchen. There is a pool and spa pool, but no fitness centre. There are no balconies and private corridors, only a deck/veranda which all the room doors open on to. The Expedia description says: "Along with a full-service spa, this smoke-free motel has an outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness centre (where is the fitness centre and full service spa?)", "All 6 individually decorated rooms feature free WiFi and private yards (where are the private yards?)", "Rooms open to balconies" (no balconies, only an deck/veranda which all doors open on to), "Guests can make use of the shared/communal kitchen." There is no kitchen, just a fridge. Again, there are no balconies, no private yards, no private corridors, no full service spa and no fitness centre. The facilities that are there, are very nice, no complaints about that, but I feel the description needs to be updated. Thank you for a peaceful stay.

Amazing, convenient and lovely!

Fantastic place! Perfectly located, loved the warm pool and spa after hiking all day! The little extras (teas, snacks) were most appreciated! Would definitely recommend!

A little gem, small but great pool, hot tub, lots of freebies in the room, wine coolers, fridge and snacks. Yes the room is small but two suite case stands a king size bed and a hot shower is all you need. The highlight was the view from the pool, a beer and glass of wine hot pool and stunning view is all you need to know about this accommodation. Just book it!

I had a nice time at this hotel where I spent three nights..Although it's close to the railway I slept well every night. and on my last evening had the chance to meet Bryan and Miriam,the housekeepers who live close to the swimming pool and had a nice chat with them.They are really friendly and invited me a Glass of Wine.

Für eine Nacht

Ordentliches Zimmer mit Self-Checkin, toll gestalteter Außenbereich mit Pool und Spa-Pool. Leider war das Waschbecken sehr klein, so dass man sich nicht ordentlich Waschen konnte ohne das gesamte Bad zu fluten. Zudem konnte man das Badfenster nicht kippen und dadurch nicht Lüften, was besonders in der Nacht aber ganz angenehm gewesen wäre. Alles in allem ein kein Schnäppchen für das was man bekommt, aber gut gelegen, um den Nationalpark zu erkunden.

I found the room very small, basically a double bedroom with en suite. No opening winfow/s made for very stuffy room. A large fan supplied. No chair to sit on in room, seats around pool, generally other guests too.long verandah in front off all rooms meant constant foot traffic. Evening view from pool great, no ther views.

Out in the sticks, but that was/is a good thing! Heated pool was fantastic to soak in after a hard day of skiing on a fabulous Ruapehu spring day.
