If you are looking for a true "Hotel California" experience, this is it. Sure, you can stay at a chain hotel, and they look the same no matter where you are. The Clocktower is unique, historic, and it just IS California. I stay here a few nights each summer during my Southern California trip.

The location was convenient, but unfortunately the hotel itself was very outdated. The room had a strong musty, old smell that made it feel like it hadn’t been properly aired out in a long time. The furniture, décor, and overall condition felt very old and in need of renovation. Paying $230 per night for a hotel in this condition was simply not worth it. I expected a much higher standard for the price. While the location was a plus, the overall experience was disappointing.
