"Always spotless, well maintained and nicely appointed. A beautiful property and our Go To when in the area. The only negative, and it is a small one, is every visit we have had the front desk staff is aloof and seemingly above the normal friendly and welcoming attitude one would expect. Their approach is even more obvious when compared to the rest of the staff on property."

"Be sure not to take a top floor room. You will be below their top side bar and grill. You will hear bar stools and furniture grinding against the floor all day and night. All the other floors are quiet and very nice. If all they have are top floor rooms go to another hotel. You will thank me."

"We checked in, went up to our room and immediately left! The hallway had exposed wires and our door did not have a lock. I contacted the booking site immediately and they left a message to speak to the GM. Before we left we asked the front desk staff if the manager was there, she was very nice, and told us he was not but would contact us. The booking site and myself tried several times and nothing."

"The resort was nice and had a lot to offer for families. Our only issue was that the beds were very uncomfortable. We slept terribly both nights. Also, a minor inconvenience was that the complimentary pool towels were very small. They were basically the size of a dish towel. The pizza from Nonnaronis was pretty good, as well as the donuts from the candy shop. We also enjoyed the coffee shop."

Wilderness at the Smokies - Stone Hill Lodge

"Our family recently stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies and had a great overall experience. The water park was definitely the highlight of our trip. There were plenty of attractions and activities for both kids and adults, and the variety of water park amenities kept everyone entertained throughout our stay. The indoor and outdoor options make it a fantastic destination for families looking for a fun getaway. That said, there is room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. While the water park areas appeared well maintained, there was a noticeable odor in both the hallways and our guest room that was difficult to identify. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it was persistent enough to detract from the overall comfort of the stay. The rooms and common areas could benefit from a deeper cleaning and better attention to freshness. Additionally, some of the lounging areas around the water park could use more maintenance and upkeep, as a few appeared worn and less inviting than expected. Overall, Wilderness at the Smokies offers an excellent water park experience and great family-friendly amenities. If management addresses the cleanliness concerns, hallway and room odors, and improves maintenance of the lounging areas, this would easily be a top-tier family resort"
