The house is located 4 miles from Downpatrick, 6 miles from the picturesque village of Strangford and 24 miles from Belfast. The property can accommodate up to 7 guests and has 3 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen/living room with a separate larger living room plus a sunroom. Outside at the front of the property there is a large patio with panoramic views of the countryside.
The space
The house is set within the Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve and is the perfect rural getaway to explore the local area with an abundance of nature and beautiful walks on your doorstep. Within a short driving distance, you also have the National Trust owned Castle Ward where some of Game of Thrones was filmed, Delamont Country Park and The St Patrick Centre in Downpatrick.
Slightly further afield with a short crossing on the Strangford Ferry you have access to The Portaferry Aquarium and the stunning 19th Century house at Mount Stewart.
If you don’t fancy cooking, Strangford and Portaferry have lots of options for eating out and sampling the fresh seafood from the area.
