A lovely venue with good quality food, Given the room rate it would be good if the bedrooms had a little more home comforts like bath robes and a biscuit or something to accompany the coffee in the rooms.

Had such a relaxing stay, staff were very welcoming and helpful, they even left me a note to wish me a Happy Birthday which was unexpected and so lovely. Rooms were beautiful, had the best sleep in a while! Food is exceptional and plenty of both in and our door spaces to relax with a few drinks. Easy short walk to the town centre as well as Burley House. Definitely recommend this hotel for all occasions. Shall be staying again very soon!

Great location - ten minutes walk from Stamford town centre and you can walk from the hotel garden straight into Burghley house grounds - though then a bit of a hike to the house. Nice relaxed dining on the terrace. Large, old-fashioned but well maintained rooms - old fashioned is a feature. Friendly and helpful staff. Not cheap but decent value for money.

Wonderful hotel, really comfortable room, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent choice Hotel, staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Room was very nice, comfortable. Would stay again. Only criticism is the full English breakfast could do with a ramekin of baked beans, as very dry without them

We arrived early and decided to try the dining facilities. We were pleasantly surprised at the options and pricing. When the courses arrived the standard was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with ensuite facilities, coffee machine with small fridge and milk as well as bottled water. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast had many options. From toast, cereals, croissants, Danish-style pastries to the obligatory full English. Which again was fantastic. We took our coffee into the "Arts & Crafts" styled lounge where comfy sofas and Sunday papers were available. Parking was plentiful and close to the reception. The staff were pleasant and attentive. We were lucky to have the weather to sit in the garden. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Thank you
