「1 bed appt, perfect for my needs. Only quibble was sofa. Nice balcony over looking courtyard. Spa facility (pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc) was great, very clean and well run. Its a shame the restaurant wasn't running but as I had an appt with a kitchen it wasn't really a problem. Small shop on site open for 2 hrs each evening, and a temporary bar above the spa. Its a bit in the sticks but only 20 mins drive from Bideford. All the staff were friendly and helpful.」

「Conveniently situated & serves the one of the best breakfasts in all of the travelling we’ve done over the years throughout the UK. The owner-hosts were very helpful & genuinely friendly without being imposing. Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. However, my wife’s were fine, so that made everything alright as she told me to stop moaning😉 Our thanks to the owner Peter for the recommendation for the best fish...

「The hotel was kept beautifully clean and well presented throughout the week I was there. The proprietress was very welcoming on my arrival and helped me with my suitcase, The room was a good size and was well maintained except for a broken drawer in the chest of drawers which I reported as soon as possible. The room was plainly but extremely well maintained and had a very comfortable bed.. A good sized bathroom for what I needed. The breakfast service was very good and the food some of the...

「The main reason for my 2 star rating was the unacceptable noise at night. Sounded like a immersion heater or similar going beserk. It was like trying to sleep next to a jet engine. I was in room 2. I left very early as it was so bad, I just couldn't stand the noise. The hotel wasn't too bad, but ifyou can't sleep what's the point of staying? Not recommended. I'm glad it was only one night.」
