「The rooms were old and in need of some major updates. Mattresses were worn out and not comfortable. Pillows were stained, as well as sheets and towels. Definitely not worthy of a 9.4 rating.」

「Our week in Park Rapids frequently involved unexpected changes involving our stay at the Heartland Inn and through it all the front desk staff was outstanding in helping work with our changing needs. 「This was the worst motel I have ever experienced. There was no hotel staff on the property. The room temp was extremely cold and there was no way to adjust the AC. When I moved the shower curtain the rod fell on my head. The bathroom was dirty and moldy caulk. I called Expedia to cancel and they had to contact the hotel to do that. Expedia attempted to call them and did not get an answer. I contacted my CC company immediately to advise that I would be disputing this $844 charge. I recommend...

「I like the simple AmericInn design, the breakfast, the pool and hot tub. I didn't like not having an elevator and on this visit the hot tub was out of order. My wife and I are in goood shape so the lack of an elevator didn't bother us much.」
