「I hate giving poor reviews but want to give an honest heads up to other travelers. Crescent City has some rundown areas…this hotel unfortunately felt very unsafe. I was told to park under one of the lights and that security was there overnight to monitor the property but that cars could be vandalized. There were some individuals wandering in the city itself and in the parking lot (several appeared to be under the influence of substances) and in the back of the property under my window. The staff were super friendly and helpful and lovely, there’s a bunch of free food and drinks in the check-in area, and my hotel room opened out onto the beach. I woke up to the sound of the waves, and it was lovely to walk on the beach with my coffee in the morning! Milo the dog was an added bonus. ☺️」

No other outdoor lights were doing that, was irritating. The staff was nice and we left a personal pillow behind and they are setting it aside for us. We definitely will return but if it's cold outside you might want to bring a blanket」
