We visited a number of cities in Switzerland and Bern was our favorite. There is so much history and fantastic restaurants. The people were very friendly and helpful when we had questions or needed directions.

It was a great little city, walkable and able to take day trips to other parts of Switzerland, such as Lausanne. Don't miss the Altes Tramdepot Bern Brewery. Fantastic!

Bern is a safe, walkable town, with lots of things to see and do. Just be aware that the shops close at 5 pm and on Sundays.

"Easy access to bus/tram. Lots of dining and shopping so close to the hotel. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. Overall opinion is excellent for this establishment. "
"Great place. Quirky yet comfortable rooms in a central location. I liked the the serviced communal areas on the first floor for preparing own food, gave it a youth hostel type feel. The presence of the helpful friendly hosts added to the charm of the place. The roof terrace with views of the mountains and the city were a favourite place to bring breakfast and start the day.
