"The hotel was okay overall, but the breakfast buffet was very disappointing. The staff was extremely slow, and we constantly had to look for someone just to get coffee. Service during breakfast definitely needs improvement. The rooms were clean, and the location was convenient, but the breakfast experience took away from stay."

"Great staff, The front desk staff and management were very nice. Bar staff and restaurant employees remembered us daily and made sure our stay was top notch. Housekeeping did an excellent job assuring we had clean towels, pool towels and all toiletries were stocked daily. Not a newer property but the staff was top notch!"

"This is my first 50/50 review of a resort. I usually stay at RIU resorts since I’m a RIU member, but because I was traveling with a minor, we couldn’t stay at the RIU in the Bahamas. The location is great only 20–25 minutes from the airport, and a taxi for two cost about $40. Check-in was pleasant, but the rooms were disappointing. My first room, 2211, looked nice at first, but paint was peeling, the bathroom smelled humid and rusty, and the balcony door was almost impossible to open. I was moved to room 1106, which had a beautiful view, but the bathroom was still falling apart, I found three cockroaches, and the AC sounded like a plane engine all night. One major issue was privacy. After settling in with my kids, an employee opened our door without knocking to “check if everything was okay.” That was extremely unprofessional. The beach is beautiful, though rocky in some areas. Pool and beach seating are limited unless you wake up early. Food was average with little variety, although one Dominican chef was excellent. Desserts looked good but tasted bad, and drink quality was inconsistent. Some bartenders also came across as rude or unwelcoming. Entertainment was one of the best parts of the resort. Carlos, DJ Panda, and the team kept guests engaged and laughing all week, and Carlos’ ceviche on Thursday is a must-try. Special thanks to Alejandra at the front desk and Marco at the buffet for their excellent service. Overall, the resort has potential because of the locat"

"We had a relaxing and comfortable time at the Riu. The entire staff bent over backwards to help us, especially the use of a wheelchair for my wife. Great selection of good food for all meals. We ate at three of the restaurants within the Riu. The food and service were very good, however it seemed like 2 of the 3 kind of encouraged us to leave as soon as our dinner was finished. Would have enjoyed staying for 15-20 minutes more. No other concerns, would recommend and return to Riu in Paridise Island."

"Great property for larger families! Fully stacked kitchen, beautiful beach steps away from the property, lots of activities a short walk from the tower. Loved everything except for constant demand for tips on top of already 15% charged tip on everything. Charged “ gratuity “ is on services, food, goods plus VAT.. It took me a few days not to react to the approach."
