「Lovely big room and Bathroom, very clean. Friendly helpful staff. No noise from pub below and it was a Saturday Night. Lots of eateries around and very central. Hairdryer and fan in room. 」

「Clean, comfortable, warm room, a bit of updating would make it fautless. Restaurant modern and tastefully decorated, food was delicious and generous sized portions, the apple and plum crumble was a delight. Special mention to Claire our waitress who took excellent care of us.」

「Fantastic stay, lovely food and wonderful staff. Perfect location for Beamish, rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The only down side really was that the room was hot and was unable to reduce the temperature.」

「Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Good parking with EV charging. Bedroom was a really good size with lovely old furniture with plenty of drawer and hanging space - but perhaps it looked as though it could do with more furniture to fill some of the spaces. The only downside was having to go outside to get to the restaurant - probably wouldn't have even thought about it in hot weather but it wasn't ideal in the wind and rain. We stayed while the Christmas Fayre was on which was a bonus.」

「The room was excellent, bed was so comfortable that we slept in on our 1st night, leaving only 1 and a half hours to get ready for a wedding we were going to. The bathroom was lovely, a large shower with rainfall head. Very deep bath that we used on 2nd day. A great menu and restaurants to choose from. The bar was so welcoming with a great whiskey selection for myself and cocktail selection my partner loved. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our stay Matfen Hall was excellent and I...

「A very clean and comfortable place. The rooms were very nice and the beds quite comfortable. The bathrooms were up to date and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was very hand for a drink and breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. 」

「Our stay at the Westgate Manor was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Hosts, Stuart and Kathryn give a very high standard of personal service to us and made our short stay memorable. The Manor offers fantastic accommodation and a truly wonderful experience with young dear in the garden in the early morning and three peacocks roaming around! We will be back. Thank you.」

「great place to stay, very friendly. No dinner option when I stayed due to maintenance but chippy over the road was great. Breakfast was very good.」

「A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. 」
