"The location was perfect for quick access to the Sand Dunes. Great to run out for Star gazing and sunrise. The restaurant wasn’t fancy but the food and service was great. I suggest eating in the bar next door. Same menu. Fun bar Rooms were sufficient and priced right. General store and gas across the street. The staff was kind and helpful. Would recommend and stay again. "

"The room was very clean, we had an excellent view of the pond from our room. The staff was helpful and courteous. The little market had a very nice selection. This place is the closest hotel to Death Valley on the Nevada side."

"This may not be the place for the snobby, but if you have an open mind and love quirky this is a cool place. It's an old building and has had some trouble from Mother nature lately but it has a charm to it. It has some quirky plumbing tricks but once you have the hot water dialed in the shower feels great after several days of desert camping. It's quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. Next time I will make time for the tour which I hear is real interesting."
