"Alice in the café was remarkably helpful and friendly. Tipi was a cool experience; clean & comfortable inside. Bathrooms are clean and close by. Food in the café is good and reasonably priced (for CA).
Pro-tip if your tipi has an evaporative cooler: ask for ice to put in it; it’ll cool the tipi right down."

It's a small town but has several restaurants and shops and Visitor Center to support the nearby attractions of the Alabama Hills, Mt Whitney, Death Valley and more. Stunning views of the Eastern Sierras.

Nice town. We couldn't find any where closer to Death Valley that still had available rooms for something some where within our budget, so this was great. Enough places to choose from to eat and only about an hour's drive to Death Valley. Sweet town

It is a small but excellent area to stay in if you want to visit Mt Whitney and Death Valley. Find a better hotel though. We stayed in the Best Western and that was a good experience.

Cute town, little restaurants, amazing views, absolutely nothing to do but hike and at night there is one bar only open.
"This property was amazing in so many ways. First off, the location is amazing, you have clear open field views in all directions with an incredible backdrop of Mount Whitney and the Sierras. The structures and lodging spaces are so unique to the last detail. The interior design work was beautiful, clean, and artistic. Highly recommended. If you want to get away to reset and completely surround yourself in peace and natural beauty, this is the place."

"Lonewest is and was absolutely perfect! - Amazingly relaxing, peaceful, rejuvenating, and the night time stars were perfect! - Is only a 17 minute drive from Mount Whitney trailhead and a quick 10 minute drive to the Main Street in Lone Pine. Lydia was super communicative and the property was spot on, breathtaking and my wife and I will absolutely be staying here again.Thank you!"
"You will NOT find a more magical stay near Lone Pine than Swetha’s incredible tiny home. She has gone above and beyond to make sure the tiny home has just what you need and that everything is extremely intuitive. At the time we stayed, the tiny home looked brand new even though we saw notes from about 10 previous guests on the guest log wall. Swetha left us the sweetest handwritten note and took care of lots of details that weren’t necessary but such a personal touch. All of the finishes in the tiny home are elevated, and we kept finding luxe little touches all over the place. AND THE VIEWS! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Just wish we had a reason to book it for longer. Thanks Swetha!"
"I did not know that this place has so much history related to Western movies filmed nearby. Many famous celebrities stayed here - be sure to browse the photos in the lobby area."
