"The property was fine. Checking in is where I had the issue. When I asked the person for their name he said Marcos when I checked out and asked who was the person that checked us in I was given a different name. If you’re not going to have name tags for your employees so they are identifiable at least they should give their real name. The guy that checked us in was a real je*k. Everybody else was great. The girl working the breakfast area, the girls that clean the rooms, and the lady that checked us out. But what made the place rated low was the person who checked us in. For that reason I won’t go back. There was an issue outside our door towards room 224 where a dog probably pooped and the owner didn’t clean it up. But that wasn’t the property’s fault. I don’t think that I have ever stayed at the Vagabond in Bishop California but I have stayed at the 2 places across the street and I will gladly go back to them."

"The staff are very polite and helpful. The property and units need reinvestment badly. Everything is wearing out or broken. The beds are very cheap, the carpet is old and stained. BUT, we knew what we were getting into, we were exhausted from climbing all day, we really just wanted a shower and bed over car camping. That being said, the price matched the quality, if the staff were rude or not helpful than this would be a nightmare. OWNER NEEDS TO REINVEST IN PROPERTY SERIOUSLY"

"The location was central to our needs. Required help from the front desk to get the ac figured out. Didn’t expect a wall control with the old style ac/heat unit. Never saw this before, but they had airport carts for moving baggage. It did work, but strange. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was too hard, making it hard to sleep."

"Actually, it’s a very cute and cozy room. Great location easy parking next time. I need to remember to check in at a different hotel so I don’t go back-and-forth. You have to check in at the trees hotel for this property. The coffee pot was dirty. that’s the only reason I’m not giving you five stars and I was bummed out there was no hairdryer in the room. Bad as far as the cheap motels go in Bishop this has been my favorite."

"The room was very clean with laminate wood flooring instead of carpet. Air conditioning worked well. The TV was not working and the staff tried to fix it but couldn’t so gave us another room. For breakfast they had a waffle making station which was good. We didn’t use any of the amenities so can’t comment on those."
