"They went above and beyond. Meals were exquisite. Especially the breakfasts which are often so so. This had a traditional English breakfast and also French toast and salmon. The views were great and the park is a short walk. Highly recommend. Just don’t fill it up when we want to come back."

"We booked for one night at Grinkel park and really enjoyed our stay. The building is set in lovely grounds that are well maintained. The interior of the hotel has an old fashioned but charming vibe. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and lots of places to sit in comfy chairs if you just want to relax with a drink or a coffee. The room was basic but clean- the tv very small!! and the bed very soft. We had some bar food which was good and reasonably priced. There were quite a few guests staying who were in repeat visits and I understand why. The staff are all super friendly and take time to talk to people and help. I would definitely recommend for value."

"Absolutely gorgeous in every sense. The cottage is very warm and welcoming. We hade a great few days away. Cottage set in beautiful countryside, very peaceful and relaxing whilst being near to attractions of the East coast. Lovely welcoming gifts off Prosecco, baileys eggs etc. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We hope to return soon."

"We had a really lovely long weekend at the Deer Den. It’s very new, possibly only one guest before us, so everything is gleaming. The renovation is really well done and very tasteful. There are 3 cottages together with a big shared outside space. Great for dogs and for sitting with a coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening of course. Really quiet. We did see a baby deer in the field, and a hare which was exciting.The location is great. We had a couple of lovely days out, and not too far away. There’s a big coop only about 10mins away. Definitely recommend the Deer Den. What’s not to like!"

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. "

"What a lovely place to spend Christmas! We had a wonderful time at the Threshing Barn. It is a really cosy cottage, with beautiful walks from the door, and fabulous walks on the beach only a short drive away. The facilities are incredible - the pool and gym are 5*, and the games room is a gem, even if it did prove that I really, really can't play darts : ( The local butcher and village shop are well worth a visit - thoroughly lovely people and products.Sandra has thought of almost everything, and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We loved the Christmas decorations and mince pies!!Would return to the Threshing Barn without question."
