San Blas

San Blas charms visitors with its steep cobblestone streets and colonial buildings nestled in Cusco's artisan quarter. Local artists display handcrafted textiles, ceramics, and silverwork in workshops where you can watch them create. The iconic San Blas Church stands as a cultural landmark with its ornate baroque pulpit. The neighborhood blends Spanish architecture with strong Quechua influences throughout its hidden plazas and colorful markets. Intimate restaurants serve fusion Andean cuisine while traditional music drifts from doorways after sunset. Walking from Plaza de Armas takes just 15 minutes uphill.

Explore museums like Museo de Arte Precolombino and savor fusion and neo-Andean cuisine at local restaurants. Stroll through the artisan-filled San Blas neighborhood for a picturesque shopping experience.

San Cristóbal

Perched on a hillside above Cusco, San Cristóbal offers breathtaking views and a peek into Peru's layered history. The iconic white Cristo Blanco statue stands tall against the sky, while ancient Incan walls blend with colonial architecture below. Cobblestone streets wind between weathered stone facades and traditional homes where local life unfolds. Visitors can explore the Pre-Columbian Art Museum and Plaza de las Nazarenas away from downtown crowds. Family-run restaurants serve authentic Peruvian dishes at reasonable prices. The neighborhood's strong Quechua influence provides a genuine cultural experience rarely found in tourist districts.

Santiago

If you're spending some time in Santiago, Santiago Plaza and "El Molino I" Shopping Center are top sights worth seeing.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica might not have many top sights, but Real Plaza Cusco and Ttio Market are two attractions nearby that you can check out.

Kantu Hotel

Kantu Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at Kantu Hotel for 5 nights and I was appreciative of the quality and care they put into making me feel at home. Emmanuel and the front staff provided me with suggestions on where to eat and different areas of Cusco that I could walk to. The staff was very welcoming and gave me time and space to recuperate after long days of walking. The hotel is located in an accessible location - right outside of San Pedro Market and San Pedro Train Station - which was helpful as I booked the PeruRail train to Machu Picchu. There was always hot water and tea available for guests - no matter the time. Great breakfast available with meat and rice options. The rooms were heated at night but they also provided heavy blankets and an extra heater. The view on the rooftop was another highlight. I tried to spend most mornings there, taking in the scenery. The humble streets of San Pedro has it's own smell and narrow sidewalks. But you can walk to everywhere you need to. It was a great price for a memorable experience in Cusco."

"Nice hotel! Only issue was that I booked all the rooms for my whole family. When my son in law arrived, who is from Peru originally, they told us they would add in 18% tax to the room because he is Peruvian. He was also visiting from the US and I booked the room- and paid for it- not he! They made him prove he lived in the US. We were a party of over 10 people and all had rooms. I found this ridiculous. Otherwise it is a lovely property"

"This is a beautiful property that has a colonial component and a modern addition with comfortable rooms and a lovely outdoor garden. There are tables with umbrellas and a terraced garden with flowers and shrubs. I was astonished at the quality of the restaurant and bar. We ordered several dishes and each one was gorgeous and tasty. Their desserts were also amazing. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting and the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I needed help for Altitude Sickness and they called a doctor immediately. I was treated in the room professionally and when needed transported to a local clinic 2.2 kilometers away. The hotel was very attentive."
