「The check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. The price we paid , i think was high for this standard.」

「The property is an 18th century coach house so don’t expect brand new anything, that being said the place is full of character, but the most important part of this inn are the excellent staff, mostly Maureen (Mo) and Gracie. 「This is an excellent country hotel, about 1.5 miles down a lane from the main a1, it’s quiet and peaceful and although in need of refurbishment, which it’s getting after November this year, is still extremely nice. 「Stayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I can’t recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay.
Not forgetting the pub attached……where we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie we’ve ever had with great personal service too.

「We stayed for our Anniversary trip and I booked the Olympic suite restaurant and wasn’t disappointed, fabulous food, wonderful attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us , room was fantastic comfortable beds and pillows , bed was enormous, we had a bath and shower and tea making facilities, everything was within walking distance, lovely few days would certainly go back and a great choice , my only negative was parking which can spoil your experience and made arrival for us very stressful 」
