"Warren's Riverside Retreat was the best home away from home we could have asked for! The cabin is stocked with everything you could imagine and then some. It was so nice not to have to pack or purchase these items. You will want for nothing in this cabin! The views are peaceful and relaxing. Our two black labs, Bronx and Stormie, loved swimming in the river, and my husband enjoyed throwing his line in a few times. The downstairs bed is extremely comfortable, and the smart home feature is awesome! We never touched a light fixture! The kitchen and bathroom were will stocked, and the downstairs bedroom had all the extras you would want in its closet. It was nice to be in close proximity to town if we did want anything. We visited the local coffee shop, Sunrise Coffee Co., for morning iced lattes and scones. We also had pizza, wings and cinnamon roll cheesecake from Mr. Pizza! Both shops were amazing! We also ventured to Blackwater Falls State Park which was breathtaking! We went to Walmart in Elkins for a grocery pickup and visited its local coffee shop, Tip Top Coffee Co. This was one of our best vacations, and we hope to return with family and friends as we believe they will enjoy this riverside retreat as much as we did. Thank you, Warren, for making your home feel like home and for allowing our two fur babies to enjoy the trip with us."

"This hotel seemed pretty popular with people passing through and was reasonably priced. There were not many amenities, but there was porch chairs and a fire pit on the grounds with some views of the mountains. Mini golf was available for a fee. Staff was pretty friendly and there was biscuits and gravy on Sunday morning but not Saturday. I think this was an adequate stay and near Davis, Thomas and the state parks."

"I have used this hotel for multiple business stays. I have noticed some items that have prompted me to decrease of my overall rating from giving a 5 star. The parking was nearly impossible. Almost all of the vehicles were utility vehicles that weren’t even working on the hotel! They were working elsewhere! Some of the staff were incredibly rude about the choices that were being made at the breakfast bar. They would make comments to each other about what items the guests picked, which isn’t any of their business. They have also decreased a lot of their available choices and some of the food quality itself has really gone down. Burned food or instant The room this time was questionable as the door not touch the ground and had over an inch gap allowing all kinds of bugs and pests to be able to enter! I found several beetles and spiders in the room from them entering into this gap of the door! Did not feel very secure with that. I also found various stains amongst the carpet, wall, bathroom counter and window curtains that were almost resembling blood/snot. I was lastly concerned with the refrigerator and microwave that were in the room. The microwave looked like it had cleaning residue left and I didn’t feel comfortable using it and the refrigerator wasn’t cooling and if the items that needed refrigerated properly. I had to keep my food and medicine cold and the food was barely cool when it should have been a lot colder, had to throw it away because it stunk from rot."
