"This hotel was in the center of the all the shopping, street food vendors and subways, all within a few minutes to subway, and the shopping and street food vendors, restaurants were right outside the hotel entrance, so convenient! However, it was noisy and a constant flow of people crowding the streets from late morning to night. It's easy to get confused or lost as all the streets look the same with the shops and restaurants lined along the way. You would need a map or gps to navigate around. If you like the busyness of eating and shopping this is the place to stay. The hotel itself is hard to navigate to by car, taxis and ride shares cannot pick or drop you off because all these shopping streets are only for pedestrians. You will need to walk to the subway station or to a street that is open to traffic to get picked up or dropped off, so if you have a lot of luggage it's difficult to navigate through the sea of people. The hotel is a 3 star based on amenities but it looked more like a hostel. Rooms small but very functional and comfortable. Lobby area, not much too it other than a small office for the hotel attendant who were very helpful and polite. The most part it was clean but the carpet in the hallway and room were slightly stained. Our bathroom had hair all over the tile. We wanted to change rooms but there were none available. So based on what I experienced, I would give this hotel a 2.5 star rating. I would not want to stay here again."

"Very nice hotel, location was good and rook very nice but aircon poor. Room was 23 degrees and took 8 hours to cool to 22 degrees. We had same issue in another Lotte hotel which suggests it is deliberate control by hotel. We stopped at two other hotel chai s and both had great working aircon."

"We checked in, and we got our room on the 9th floor. As soon as, we opened the door, the room smelled very bad like sewed. So we called the front desk right away and let them know about bad smell in our room. One of the front desk team came up and checked the room. They did give us a different room without the view. The front desk team came back with the key and told us that they did give us a another room instead. This room is on the 17th floor(#1705). The room did not have the any bad smell at all, cleaner and has a view of the street. The breakfast was ok. We asked if can sit by the window so we can see outside. They didn't want us to sit by the window because it was for four people. We had to requested a couple of times then the host let us sit by the window. It wasn't busy, only a couple tables were occupied. The front staffs are very helpful, but not at the breakfast. Air conditioning was working fine. If we have a chance to go back, if the hotel let us stay in room #1705, we would go back there again. The house keeper team were very nice. Thank you"

"I spent a week at the Stanford in Myeongdong, in a superior double room, which was quiet, spacious and well-maintained. It even had a nice view of Namsan Park and tower. Aside from the wifi signal being a little weak at one end of the room, I have no complaints at all and would happily stay again. As many guests note, the hotel’s location is excellent, and its staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine, but there isn’t much in it for those who, like me, are lactose intolerant and prefer to eat Western food."

"The good: Location is good. Very close to subway. Room and bathroom is functional. Bed was comfortable. Room size not super tiny. Staff was very helpful on returning airport bus transportation help. Rate wasn’t expensive. Consider: They provide nothing! Pay for your own water and anything else you want or need from vending machines I request a higher floor got put on 3rd floor of a 17 story hotel. Lots of younger people stay there. They hang out at night. Pretty noisy on the 3rd floor Lobby appears kind of sketchy at night. I’d rate this a 2.5* I didn’t hate it but would not return"
