"The photos make this place look like the perfect, intimate, even family-friendly beach getaway. The photos are deceptive. This was more like visiting Panama City Beach. If you’re a college kid, then this is the place for you! However, if you’re looking for a clean and relaxing stay, I’d go elsewhere. The linens are sandpaper, the beds belong in a college dorm, the door pads are often broken (when we were waiting to get ours fixed, the guest in the lobby was also waiting for theirs to be fixed), and there’s not a towel service for the beach. The pool water was so cloudy you couldn’t see your feet, so they’re not monitoring the levels and doing regular cleanings. The hotel is placed directly next to a public beach access point, so be prepared to be packed with public beach goers in addition to all the hotel members. "

"This is a very nicely remodeled hotel near the Riverfront area. They have bikes to rent for free and a shuttle that you can take to and from the Riverfront area. The bar inside the hotel is very nice with some well thoughtout cocktail choices. We would stay here again if we are ever back in Savannah. "

"The River Inn is in a great location,wakable to many key sites. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We loved our room- great size and comfortable bed. The amenities and discount at the M Cafe next door were wonderful bonuses. I'd definitely stay here again."
