"This hotel was a very pleasant place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property is very well maintained, clean, and quiet. The parking lot was well-lit without being obnoxious. It's also great that it's dog friendly, and the other guests with dogs all kept them well-behaved. I would definitely recommend The Mountain Inn at Lutsen!"

"Loved the outside fire pits. Close to hiking trails. Like having an indoor and outdoor pool. Lots of outdoor activities to do around the area."

"Our room (#9) was ground floor and looking directly at the harbor. Street parking was right in front of our room (8-5 only 90 minutes allowed) but was easy met. Room was spacious and clean. Looks like it was updated within the last year. Very convenient and easy walking distance to great dining and shopping. Highly recommend it."

"The location is wonderful. An easy walk to shops and restaurants. The view of the lake from the room was so calming. We had beautiful weather."

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "
