Was shown images of large spacious room with tall windows over looking the lake. Was actually given a basement suite with barely any natural light,. This property is not as advertised. This was for a birthday trip and was promised having champagne delivered to my room and that also never showed. Will stay at other properties, save money, and have a better experience.

The king suite with a jetted tub was amazing. The views, the room, cleanliness, amenities, were all top notch. Room service was incredibly fast and burgers were delivered and delicious (5 stars!)! Ribeye steaks (2 stars) were ok in person at the Bluefin Grille, pickup a local cut of steak and grill it yourself on the grills at the property! Everything else about the property was great. Very cozy. Will be returning to the Surfside location in the future!

The room itself was nice. The bed was comfortable, and the heated floors were nice. Our view of the lake was obscured :0( I booked this room in August and had asked for a lake view as it was a special occasion for us. Also.... we checked in on a Sunday afternoon at 3 pm which is before the listed check in time of 4 pm. There was no one at Guest services, but there seemed to be a wedding event going on. I asked the person at the only other desk around about checking in. She very rudely informed us that check in was down the street at Bluefin Bay resort. I was confused and asked for clarification as there was absolutely no mention in any of my emails from "Surfside" that I was supposed to check in there. Again, she rudely responded that after 2 pm on a Sunday, check in was at Blufin Bay. We check in the entry way for a sign about this and there wasn't one. Clearer communication about were to check in should have been made. Especially since I was sent an online check in request from "Surfside". The people at Blufin informed us that guest services at Surfside closes at 2 on Sundays during off seasons. Blufin takes care of all guests needs from then on until 10 am the following morning. This is also never made clear in any of the emails. Maybe, because of the wedding, a sign with clearer instruction got misplaced.
