「This place is awesome!! First of all, thanks to the front desk person we were able to check in an hour late after the front desk closed. Parking went smoothly, even with a bunch of snowmobile trailers around. The sleeping part was great! Comfortable beds and smart TVs which allow us to stream. In the morning we tried the shower and let me tell you this is the complete opposite of your typical hotel shower. It actually has water pressure and so much where you have to make sure the water doesn't...

「Great location right on Lake Superior, right in the middle of the main part of the city. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed playing games in the common area and using the hot tub / pool facilities (agreement with nearby hotel). Breakfast was good and very convenient.」

「Clean room, dated. The hot tub and pool were beyond packed to the point of me needing to get out due task it became uncomfortable. With a location and prices like these I would expect 2 outdoor hot tubs or 2 indoor (for a resort of this size) like one sees in Colorado or Utah. Bar closes at 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights, would have been nice to see it open until 10. Over all, nice property, needs a bit of updating but it was a great stay. 」

「Staying at this hotel in the winter (off season) was not ideal. Too much snow, parking challenging, and hotel office closed. Room was fine, but no view of the lake. My room key didn’t work on my last day, so staff had to re-issue a new key. For winter, I recommend staying 7 miles north in town..Grand Marie…where there are more guests, better overall parking, access to businesses and customer service.」

「Very much appreciated the host’s quick response when we were lost and unable to find the cabin. It was cozy and we like small cabins, but a car boy of potable water and a sink with a bucket to collect wash water would have been helpful. Also, the path to the outhouse was submerged under a few inches of water - maybe some wood chips would be helpful? We constructed a bridge with rocks and wood blocks just to get to the outhouse.」
