"Staff was helpful for our very late check in and got us to our room. Unfortunately, room had a really bad smell. There was an ionizer in the room that was not plugged in when I asked about it, I was told it should have been removed and given a bottle of Lysol to spray in the room. In fairness I could have switched rooms but due to how late just wanted to get some sleep. The room smelled like someone probably was smoking in it. Maybe the reason for the ionizer."

"Hotel 24 S., formally the Stonewall Jackson Hotel, in Staunton, Virginia never fails to satisfy. The rooms are very comfortable, the linens are soft, the rooms are spotless, the staff is very friendly and very helpful and Stanton is a wonderful community"

"The room had stains and tears throughout the room . The bathroom did not look very clean at all. There were brown stains on the ceiling that looked like oil marks ,brown rings in the sink and tub…holes and tears all over the floor- I would not go there again. To say it was just run down is an understatement."

We struggled significantly with the Wi-Fi; neither our Apple nor Android devices would connect until the front desk clerk eventually signed us in. ​The property itself feels dark, drab, and in need of a modern refresh. For the price, the room lacked basic comforts—specifically a cozy chair—and the "quiet" reputation didn't hold up, as thin walls meant I could clearly hear the guest next door snoring. Given the cost, it felt overpriced for the quality provided."
