"I recently stayed at the Village Hotel Bracknell for a 1-night family stay (2 adults, 2 kids). The experience was unfortunately ruined by poor communication and rude staff. Room Issues Our family room was unbearably hot due to a broken AC. I reported this at 7:00 PM before dinner. When we returned at 9:00 PM, it was still broken. Reception initially claimed no other family rooms were available. Only after significant persuasion were we finally given two double rooms. I appreciate the eventual resolution, but it shouldn't have been a long winded negotiation. Dinner Disaster At our 7:00 PM dinner, no one warned us about kitchen delays or how the kids' meals worked. We waited a full hour for food (30 minutes for starters, 30 minutes for mains). To make matters worse, my son’s chicken tenders never arrived. When I asked, I was finally informed there was a "children's buffet." Had we known this when seated, we wouldn't have made hungry kids wait an hour for a missing meal. Breakfast Rudeness The next morning, the manager assigned us a table that wasn't made up yet. We placed our water beakers down, and a waitress rudely scolded us for putting items on an un-set table. I reported her unprovoked rudeness directly to the manager, who offered absolutely no apology. Basic hospitality and communication were entirely missing during our stay. Would not recommend unless you don't mind the poor customer service levels."

"Our room, whilst having a double bed in it was such a peculiar shape that the person sleeping on the right was bang up against the wall with the smallest of gaps at the bottom of the bed making it interesting if you needed to get out with someone in bed on your left. Fundamentally it’s a single room with a double bed in it. The bathroom shelf hung out beyond the top of the toilet seat when lifted meaning that the toilet seat was at a jaunty angle. Breakfast on the Monday morning was not up to the usual standard. The buffet ran out! Yes it was topped up on request, but pay attention please. Having our plates removed mid meal by a staff member who had a pile of other customers dirty plates in her hand was an interesting method. One could consider more training is required in customer service. The reception staff, as always, were lovely as are the staff in general. This is I believe the 6th time we have stayed at the Warbrook. We were a little disappointed on this occasion although we will stay there again "

"Couldn’t knock the hotel for what I paid. Very clean, nice room. Only thing to consider if you’re staying here is that it’s not a services off of a roundabout like some, you actually have to join the motorway for access. So maybe consider elsewhere if you’re planning on taking multiple trips in and out."

"The hotel let itself by not having a high chair for our 6 month old baby at breakfast. Breakfast was quite quiet yet they didn’t have more than 2x high chairs in the whole hotel. It meant we had to hold our baby while trying to eat breakfast. Shame, as we were looking forward to a nice breakfast where we could relax. "

"We really enjoyed the location, which was ideal for our needs. Everything was easy to access, and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The unit was well equipped, and having elevator access was a real plus. Just don’t forget to pay for parking."
