Good pub/hotel, nice location, worth a visit!

Comfortable stay, warm welcome and the place was very clean. The room was nice and decorated to a high standard with all the amenities you would expect for the price. The food was nice and there was a good continental breakfast selection but I think a cooked selection would have been a nice touch given the price of the rooms. Overall a good stay.

Confortable and clean room, good amenities in the room. Friendly and helpfull staff. The dinner menu selection and food quality was good. The breakfast is continetal option only, no cooked breakfast.

OK, but not outstanding

Overall a pleasant enough place to stay, but not outstanding. Proximity of our bedroom door to the pub’s toilets, with urinals in full view, was a little off putting, though no issue with noise. For our 3-day stay there was not sufficient clothes hanging space or drawers, the wardrobe being a small half height space shared with the kettle & coffee machine. We had to live out of our suitcase. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding given the B&B rate.

The room was exceptionally clean, the staff were superb and courteous. The Karaoke below the room was certainly a bit of a challenge, but you are above a pub!! Excellent breakfast, a great stay and would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Chinook suite and it eas beautiful. Original wooden beams, and original features which really emphasised and complemented the deisign of the room. Wonderful staff and just lovely service

Great place to eat and stay.

Great pub in a lovely village. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Room was good though a little cold on arrival, that was quickly sorted out.

A lovely inn in a surprisingly pleasant and likable town. Perfect for our own needs for a two day stay to visit Jane Austen's house a dozen miles away. It's an 18th-century building updated with all the modern conveniences and with all the charm of old England.
