"Very unclean and worn building. Half of it was a building site so works began early in the morning. The basement room had a window that you could hear people moving about all night. The shower and bathroom were so bad we really refrained from using it at all. A taxi driver informed us that there are women who offer extra services in this hostel. AVOID THIS HOSTEL. Wasn’t even cheap compared to other accommodation we were just desperate for somewhere to sleep. "

"This place is a private house converted into guest rooms, including the cellar. My room was in the cellar. It didn't have a window, only a skylight with a grate across. It was dark and one morning there was a slug crawling on the floor. The bed didn't have a proper mattress or bedding. On top of the bed was a foam topper, on top of that a day blanket and a cover blanket that I don't think were clean. The front door has a key code, but the door was left open most of the time by the other...

"Vorsicht Fake!!! Wir hatten für 1 Nacht ein Zimmer für zwei Personen gebucht. Per Email habe ich mehrere Nachrichten erhalten, u.a. mit einer Telefonnummer bei der ich mich melden sollte, um den Schlüssel bei Anreise zu erhalten. Vorher mussten wir 116€ für das Zimmer überweisen. Als wir ankamen, ging zunächst niemand ans Telefon. Ich habe auf den Anrufbeantworter gesprochen und noch mehrmals versucht, jemanden zu erreichen. "Arriving at the property we were a little unsure about the booking as it seemed to be in a bit of an industrial area. However, once we saw the main buildings and checked in, we were extremely happy. This was a fantastic room! It was huge with a nice saddle up bar in the kitchenette area and had a nice balcony to soak up some German summer sun. Being outside of downtown Cologne was a big plus as it was super quiet overnight. Getting to Cologne was easy using the fantastic DB train system. The gentleman at reception/check-in went above and beyond by helping us figure out how to use the train system app and where/how to get tickets and get on the train. This was one of the best customer service experiences we had while in Germany. If you are planning to visit Cologne I highly recommend this property as it gives you a quiet and comfortable accommodation while being a quick and easy train ride from downtown and old town Cologne. "
