「Friendly and helpful hosts at all stages, from booking to check out. They sent info on Matera early on and gave great suggestions for scenic walks and restaurants. The room was quiet, basic and comfortable. Just a 5-minute walk to an entrance into one of the sassi, and most key sites and activities are walkable.」

「Everything was very clean! The owners thought of everything. The rooms were very comfortable. Parking on site was great. We were offered breakfast for a small fee and it was very good. There are even espresso machines in the rooms! The owners are very lovely. I would definitely stay here again. Easy to drive into town.」

「The room was basic but clean, apart from the shower which was mouldy. The general hotel was clean, some stains on the carpets but looked like a leak. Breakfast was good, great selection and all presented really nicely. No coffee or tea in the room, well there were tea bags but no cups! The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate, the view is a lorry park which is quiet at the weekend but on Monday, the lorries use their horns as they arrive and leave the depot. The pool is dangerous....

「Very nice room in a quiet, beautiful part of the countryside. Friendly host. Lots of sweet dogs on the property. Many need a bath and a little medical care, in my opinion, but they were a joy to see whenever we came and went. The wifi did not work in our room at all. Dining in the area is limited, but we did find a nice place for pizza nearby.」
