We are a senior couple with much international vacation rental experience. Our style is to stay in one place for 2-4 weeks to explore and to meet the local people. That said, this apartment was a disappointment. If what you are looking for is a warm, friendly sense of being cared for as a visitor, this is not your place. Even before arrival, we were made to feel bothersome for making inquiries about things in the apartment and about what to expect on arrival. During our 3 week stay, no one bothered to ask if everything was okay.
This apartment did have good points. The neighborhood is gentrified with many families and seniors safely walking about at all times. The location is good with trams within 2-3 blocks that run to the tourist attractions. There are numerous lovely coffee shops, parks and good eateries close by. [It would have been nice to have the usual welcome binder with suggested places to eat and shop, the number to call in a medical emergency, how to work the appliances, and transportation maps.] The apartment building is well taken care of, and the neighbors are quiet and respectful. The kitchen was supplied with basic things like salt, pepper, flour, vinegar, oil, etc. The appliances work easily and well. The linens are professionally washed and pressed and are good quality, although covering mostly old, dirty and frayed pillows and comforters.
This apartment presents well in the supplied photos. although the photos don't show how old and mismatched the furnishings are. Unfortunately, despite having made every effort to inform the owners of our arrival time, we arrived at an apartment that hadn't been thoroughly cleaned after the previous renters who had created breakages and had left the apartment filthy. In Covid times, this was very upsetting. One toilet had human waste in it! The beds had much dust underneath. One of the owners immediately attended to the worst of the problems and supplied us with extra linens. This helped us feel more comfortable. However, the beds are not at all comfortable as they consist of hard foam on top of low-lying bed frames. We managed by taking the comforters off all the unused beds and putting them under the bottom sheet to pad the extra firm foam. A real foam "topper" would have been welcome.
Our other main concern was how unsafe the showers were. One is very tiny; the other deep and slippery. and without safety bars to hold on to.
Definitely a work in progress!
