「We stayed here for two nights and we were astounded how good the hotel was for the price that we paid.
The room was ample size, spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed.
The staff were all really friendly and welcoming.
The food (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent and great value for money.
We have already booked to return next year.
Particular praise must go to the lady (I don't know her name) that served behind the bar, served the dinners and worked in the breakfast room in...
「Hoteliers had provided lots of extra touches. The cleaning was impeccable.
The room was well, decorated she had good quality cushions and curtains made to match the paper on the feature wall, nice quality biscuits and tea, sew kit and cottonpads.
Wonderful comfy bed and clean shower room.
Great selection at breakfast, fresh fruit, raspberry, blueberry, cereals then full English and about 8 various mini jam pots including salted caramel, I had to resist taking them home

「We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...
「The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The rooms have nice versions of all the basics, including a good bed and excellent shower. There are few extra amenities beyond the room and pub, although the breakfast was very good.
