Decent but not high standard

Hotel is very conveniently located,in the center of Beijing and right outside a subway station. The staff speak english well enough and is mostly competent. However, there was quite a long queue for check-in every afternoon. Room was confortable and clean, but like the rest of the hotel, it is kind of outdated. Spa and sauna facilities were closed (but were still advertised on the hotel reservation page). Hotel staff refused to do any commercial gesture and barely apologized, saying that I just paid for the room. They apparently didn't see any issue advertising services and facilities they did not actually provide.

Rooms are poorly maintained. Is not a typical Novotel standard. I would rate 3 star at best. Breakfast area has not changed for the last 10 years? Still the same old wall and chair. Need a new paint long ago. Fridge not working - hot ! Location is the only plus.

Comfort stay

The location is amazing, locate at central beijing, close too all major sighseeings and train stations, shpping mall, many resturants to choose. Hotel is clean and comfort to stay. Facilites is a bit old and lot of tourist group during breakfast.

Comfort to stay

The hotel is abit old, but well maintained and clean. The service of the reception and Housekeeping are quite prompt and good. Near to the major visit place, in front of the hotel has 2 mrt line.

Great Location.

Best thing about this hotel is LOCATION! It’s near everything you might want to see. Also, across the street from malls and eateries. Due to its great location hotel is always full and breakfast is crowded, so it might get you a while to get a seat.

Clean bathroom, hotel right next to subway, good walkable distance to wangfujing 15-20min, and qianmen 20min. Ventilation in hotel room is good but at times neighbouring rooms smoked cigarettes inside their rooms and it finds its way into ours so we slept with the window slightly open and bathroom fan on. Smoke was not really a problem after.

Close to Metro. Check in/out quickly. The room English descriptions do not say no window. But check-in with a non-window room. Talking to a receptionist she showed me description in Chinese of no window. Finally given a inner window room. Wish the hotel be consistent in descriptions and let travelers know in advance
