"First of all above all else I want to shout out Malange for her above and beyond customer service. We booked through Expedia for our excursions ( DON'T DO IT) and had many setbacks, BUT when it came to the resort reservation for spa, dinner, or outings Malange had us taken care of. She made our resort stay the easiest part of our trip and I cannot thank her enough for it! We had an amazing time, but things to note the beach is not as clean as the opposite side of island, but is still well maintained and has plenty of great views and covered seating. My only other less than amazing note would be for room service. Several times during our stay we didn't have enough towels put back into our room for the amount of us staying and the minibar was almost never fully stocked. That can be a small thing for some, but it would have been nice to not have to call desk for towels more than one night in a row. Restaurants were amazing 👏! With Haikkado being the most enjoyable. Jackie Chan and his clan made the night fun and amazing to watch. Lastly there is never a boring night. I think this place is perfect for its price. There was bull riding, karaoke, Michael Jackson night, zumba class in pool, merengue dance class, and even a huge inflatable play area in the pool for the kids. The service is great and courteous at the resort. There is never a push to tip, but even I encourage others to do so! But still above all again huge shoutout to Malange for making our stay at Melia unforgett"

"We stayed here and enjoyed our time quite a bit. We had a few small bumps on arrival. The water went out twice during the first two days and we woke up after our first night with no power in our room due to a tripped breaker, which meant we had roast until the host saw my message and sent maintenance. The host was quick to respond and the utilities were never out for an extended period. I appreciated the problems being fixed quickly. The property itself is gorgeous, and our room was spotless. One of the pools had an algae issue when we arrived, but it was resolved and we were able to use it on our final day. The jellyfish restaurant and Ciello beach club are great places to eat and drink. Be warned, they are the only places to eat and drink. The property is down about a half mile road that was flooded near the complex gates. Walking anywhere is out of the question. However, we didn’t have any problem ordering Uber to pick us up. Everyone we interacted with at the complex was nice. It was pretty empty, but we expected that since it’s the off-season. Overall, if you want a more relaxed and private experience, this may be a good spot for you. If you’re doing Punta Cana for the first time, you may feel a little left out of the all-inclusive scene."

"First of all massive thanks to Hanor the local rep at the site . He could not do enough for us. Even on his days off he was checking all was ok. Help organise trips and fair prices, sorted shopping when we needed it and always greeted us with a smile. In fact all the staff were great Place is definitely value for money with good size rooms and own bath rooms. Air con was excellent and the apartment had all the equipment for home cooking. Beach is lovely, although, just like most of Bravaro coast lime there is a lot of sea weed which slightly discolours the water and can smell at times. Sand is bright white and definitely get that Caribbean feel. Lots of lovely pools on site and more than enough loungers . Gym is adequate and even has pool table and table tennis. Shops about a ten minute walk away down busy road, we used TukTuk for 200 dom dollars . Hanor can sort if you need water etc. Lots of private hotels so not much apart from the Jellyfish restaurant ( 1 min walk) open to the public. Ate there several times excellent food and atmosphere. Plus you get 10per cent discount. If you’re happy to walk 30, 40 mins along the beach, there are more public bars ( next to Pirate book) Overall great people who looked after us, it is quite and as I said not much evening venues unless you take UBer around 600 dom dolllar . Travel a lot and found this a nice break for a family , trips well worth doing , include a must Sona island and San Domingo. Oh and Hanor was great 👍"
