"The lobby and resort are very nice. My 3rd floor ocean view, was a peek at the ocean after mostly a dirty, garbage polluted roof. The room was very musty smelling and was startled by a couple of cockroaches. The balcony was dirty, and the shower has no divider, so the bathroom floods. The lighting was dim and yellow in the bathroom. They need to update this room. The property is nice, great beach, pools and places to lounge. Get a spot early though, they fill up fast. "

"Staff was helpful in moving us to a different room after we noticed there was a window in the shower with nothing covering it. (visible to outside) Helpful also in getting us into room early and offered to let us stay past 12:00 the following day. Good breakfast, somewhat pricey, but they gave us a $25 coupon to use, so that paid for half of breakfast for 2 people. Building is old, but clean."

"The service provided by the staff was excellent. Unfortunately, they do not provide in room food service so we found ourselves ordering in several times. On vacation, you do not want to always get dressed to go out to sit in a restaurant. The lighting in the bathroom was poor and there was no vanity mirror or light which made it difficult to do makeup. The shower was a bit complex to work and over designed. They should consider a simpler shower. The door to the shower did not close completely making it a gamble for a bathroom flood any time you shower. The lobby should be brightened up. The dimness takes away from the artistic designs and reduces warmth in the space. The pool is well designed, should maybe include an elevated smooth step to go around the pool so you can navigate without sinking. Consider extending breakfast hours to 12 Pm so guests can sleep in and still enjoy a rooftop brunch experience. The neighborhood is obviously in rehab but given the issues PR has experienced, it is understandable. Outside property grounds could be tended to better. Overall I would recommend a staying here. "

"I can honestly say this was an amazing experience. We booked last minute and still ended up with oceanfront views. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. I loved how convenient everything was, the bar right downstairs staying open late, and being able to walk straight out to beach chairs and fresh towels waiting for you. 10/10 experience. I would come back here every single time."

"Good morning! They say location is everything and in this case it’s 100% true. HiBird is in the middle of all the action - beach, resturant, old city. The hotel was nice- could use more drawers in room, but wasn’t in San Juan for room, but for the fun!! Staff excellent "

"Too bad the shower doesn’t have hot water, it has luke warm. And the bedroom does not have lights switch by the bed, nor a side bed table with a lamp, so you need to switch off the bedroom light and be completely in the dark before you go back to bed 🤔I guess they are designed ti use the cel phones flashlight😆why people do these things, I don’t get it. It is a hotel/airbnb so get an interior designer to think about details. Besides that, they do offer ear plugs, the hotel is right in the heart of Santurce and you can hear alll the bars and music until late hours into the morning "
