Eboshi (in the background) and the currently active Mt. Naka (far left of photo, with dark billowing smoke). Pampas grass have already covered most of the area signaling the coming of autumn.

"This was advertised as having a kitchen. Kitchen facilities are in another building that are communal. The other option is to rent a gas burner. Everything is extra (e.g. trash, gas burner). Heater for room kept turning off. Barely enough space for 3 futons. Japanese communal bathrooms near bungalows, western style in main building. We only stayed one of the two nights booked even though we did not get a refund."
