若いスタッフが一生懸命少人数で工夫して宿を運営している姿に好感が持てました。古民家の別棟を家族６人で利用。和室2部屋とベット2つが置かれた部屋がありトイレ2つ。洗面所3つ冷蔵庫2つが設置されている。食事も別棟内に用意してくれる。お風呂は予約制で数歩外を歩く必要があり天気の悪い日や足腰が弱い人は利用しづらい。他の客には一切会うことなくプライベート感を味わえる宿でした

Upscale hotel with separate cottages. Quaint with thatched roofs. Food and staff were excellent.

It was an amazing experience to stay here. Traditional ryokan in such a beautiful setting. The staff was super friendly and nice, too.

Great Ryokan. The property is beautiful and it's not far from the Kumamoto limousine bus stop (the hotel gives you rides to and from the stop anyway). Short walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and the main area of the town. Top notch service and super clean. The outdoor onsen is incredible. One of the most charming and unique places I’ve ever stayed! This was such a hidden gem and the location couldn’t be beat. The views are incredible as it sits right on the Kusu River. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, the rooms were very spacious and clean. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First off let me preface this by saying that you have to be open minded. Some foreigners want to go to a place and have it be just like home but in another country. If you are looking for a western style hotel that has a happening nightlife and tons of bars and people around, then this is not the place for you. Best experience here. Compare to Yufuin which one of popular places for tourists, Yunohira is minor spot but good vibe, quiet, calm and peaceful. Few private Hot Springs in the facility open all night, Bed room is clean and comfortable. Great staff service also best breakfast. Differently I’ll come back.

Beautiful clean room, Onsen was great and so relaxing. Dinner was traditional Japanese and as good as I’ve EVER had. I would 100% recommend to anyone. We intend to return frequently.

I loved it! Despite not speaking much Japanese I had a great time. It was really easy to get to from Yufuin station by taxi since there’s a taxi stand right there. The only hard part is if you don’t have a car, getting to and from the station once the front desk closes is somewhat difficult. I brought food with me and snacks before arriving. The water temperature is perfect and the room I rented was beautiful!

Amazing food, beautiful property grounds, best service (especially Yuji was super helpful and kind) . Highly recommend this Ryokan!
