「Perfect stay. Location is ideal, walking distance to Akumal or to Yal-Ku, very near a couple of good restaurants. Beach is quiet with easy snorkel access. Third-floor is very nice and private, we rarely heard any other tenants. View is spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the balcony taking in the view. 「Not outstanding, just a fair place to stay. A 2 bed 2 bath condo is about the same price as this one bed, one bath suite after all the fees and taxes are added to the final cost. Unable to negotiate price per night with owner. Bed very comfortable, toilet needs fixed, maid service was excellent, kitchen offered the bare minimum utensils for making meals. 「We loved our stay at Villa De Rosas. Communication with Tony was terrific. Our condo was spacious and comfortable, and we loved being beachfront. It was close to many activities such as ruins, cenotes, and beaches. We needed to use two white noise apps on our phones and stick pillows in the wooden window slats in the bedroom to mask hallway sounds and doors closing, but this seemed easily do-able. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!」

「Akumal is a special town that I have visited for over 25 years. This was my first time staying at LaSerina. Such a lovely location. The courtyard gardens are full of beautiful tropical plants, and is beautifully maintained. There is a large lovely pool in the center of this courtyard. The condo was decorated in traditional Mexican decor with lots of nice personal touches. The staff were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.」

There were many disappointments and on their own it would not have been enough for us to seek another location but when we discovered the pool was closed we informed the owner of our disappointment and our intent to leave.
