Great and Comfortable Stay!!

It was my first visit. Very clean and spacious room and good hotel facilities. Staff are always responsive and fast to the need of guest. But, during high season the price will be expensive, so recommend to visit from May to Sept which will make price affordable.

I booked a studio room at the Residences which was very spacious and comfortable. The Front desk manager and Brahim were very helpful in getting me a good room as I was checking in on the early side. The room had a small kitchen but no cooking pots or utensils, so I had to make a special request to utilize this. The food was very average here and the room service menu rather limited, so I ended up making my own breakfasts and eating elsewhere. There are a couple of small markets in walking distance of less than 5 minutes. The room was spacious, but lacked accessible outlets for charging devices. The gym was good and had a nice view, but there wasn't really a good area to stretch and no mats. The pool area and beach were rather quiet during my visit, and had a lot of shady areas. Overall, it was a nice clean property with good service.

Just not the 5-star experience

This is probably the most beautiful hotel I ever stayed in. The building and its architecture are unrivaled. From the beautiful outside to the minor details on the inside. The lobby is absolutely fabulous, and also the gym is well-equipped, including free cold bottles of water. We had a room in the Residence Tower, and it was comfortable and clean. We had a decent view from the room. So far so good, but this hotel has issues. I did not experience any 5-star experience when it comes to hospitality. Maybe it is because of the regular audience that visits the hotel. The staff is very professional, but that's it: professional - not welcoming. At check-in there were no smiles and the additional details like a certain rebate were not mentioned. In the restaurant where we went for breakfast: same thing. Professional, but not friendly. Hospitality is a thing here. Also, you would expect a 5-star hotel to cater to an international audience, but the power plugins are all Arabic and you need an adapter (supplied at request) to power your electronics (if you are from Europe or the USA). In modern hotels nowadays you will find USB plugs but not in this hotel, despite the 5 stars. We had decent breakfasts every morning, but definitely 5-star level. I had better breakfasts in Spain in 3-star hotels. Anyway, let's end positive. The guy at the towel station named Yusun was super friendly and welcoming, making me feel special as a guest. He proves that it possible, an example for the rest.

Max 1 star from me because I asked for the Holy Quran (English version) and they took forever. I called reception at least 3 different times as a reminder. My trip ended by the book never arrived. Such a waste seriously!
